How does social media support work?
Need help with your business socials? So, how does social media support work and what exactly do you need to know? Although we know how to create posts and please the algorithm gods, our clients also have certain responsibilities. The clue is in the word ‘social’! You need to be present and active if you want your posts to engage your audiences.
Before we explain how our support works, it’s worth understanding what’s expected of our clients…
Client responsibilities for social media
Below are several actions we expect our clients to do if they want to make the most of our social media support:
- Share posts within community groups (rules depending). It’s up to you to share your personal profile and posts across any relevant groups in Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. But you also need to add context and explain why you are sharing – don’t just hit ‘share’ and wander off! It’s a bit like walking up to someone in the street. Would you throw a book in their face or tell them why you’ve read a book they might like?
- Respond to comments!!! If someone has taken the time to comment on your post, you need to reply. Also, try to ask a question to keep the engagement going. It’s the same as me saying ‘hi’ to you in the street and you ignoring me… It is rude not to reply to someone’s post comments.
- Add extra ad hoc posts to your business page. We can provide consistent much-needed posts to please the Gods, covering you when you are busy or ill. And this means we can keep your page active and up to date. But you MUST add additional posts to increase engagement and reach. The human touch is super important. Relying on scheduled posts or just ad hoc posts does not work… you need both!
- There is no option to walk away and leave your socials to us… You need to be involved if you want our social media support to work well. It’s that simple.
- Follow our guidance and expertise. Please do not ignore us! Why would you pay an expert and then ignore them? Listen to our advice to improve your results.
- Check our scheduling platform when asked. This is your responsibility and your chance to double-check that you’re happy with the posts we have created for you. It’s also your opportunity to check the messages we’re trying to get across. After scheduling, our editing abilities reduce. So, once it’s out there, it is too late…

Our aim is to help you increase your social media reach and engagement, and we do this in several ways. We start by reviewing your existing social media platforms or we’ll set these up for you. We then create graphics and weekly content, which is scheduled in advance.
For two of our social media packages, we will have a review and you will be sent a report every quarter. This catch up looks at what’s working and what isn’t. Just like any other type of marketing, social media is all about test and learn. You need to allow at least 6 months to see genuine results.
There are a few ways that we can give your socials an even bigger boost. As well as images, we can create videos and animations, and add these to your posts.
